By expanding the Cars world, Planes gave us a whole new set of fun-filled situations and a great opportunity to introduce some fantastic new characters. The team at DisneyToon Studios has done such an amazing job creating a heartfelt story filled with great comedy, adventure, and emotion. I know audiences are going to love taking off into the wild blue yonder with these daredevil characters, as they experience a whole new kind of animated adventure. Disney subsequently pushed it back to Fall , while it was confirmed it would have a theatrical release in Europe.
The website’s consensus reads, “Planes has enough bright colors, goofy voices, and slick animation to distract some young viewers for 92 minutes — and probably sell plenty of toys in the bargain — but on nearly every other level, it’s a Disney disappointment. But even cynical animation fans will see there’s quality here. After a little turbulence, Planes comes in for a nice landing.
Although the smallest children might like bits and pieces of it, there’s nothing in the movie that suggests why Disney strayed from its original plan. It’s the story of an underestimated underdog that’s like every other kid-friendly, life-coachy story about an underestimated underdog. As a theatrical, 3-D release, however, Planes will sedate you, too. But it feels far too familiar.
A little too safe, perhaps. The animation is first-rate, and the Corningware colors are soothing eye candy. Dowd of The A.

Apr 10, · The “commissioning” refers to activating the system once it is hooked up. You check out the connections with pressure tests, the controls by putting them their paces and then you turn the well into the separator and verify that the separator and the controls are working as : Resolved.
Residential Commissioning One article on commissioning describes the process this way: The aim is for the house to perform as intended. Unfortunately, most new homes are never commissioned — because the need for commissioning is not intuitive. After all, once all of the equipment is hooked up and plugged in, it should work — right? In other homes, exhaust ducts can be entirely blocked by a piece of cardboard intended to protect equipment during shipping, or an attic duct can be completely disconnected from the register boot.
Do the homeowners notice these types of problems? Maybe — or maybe not. How do you commission a thermal envelope? Operating the blower door also exaggerates air leakage and permits a weatherization contractor to find and seal those leakage areas. However, Walker et al. A substantial reason for these problems is that few houses are now built or retrofitted using formal design procedures, most are field assembled from a large number of components, and there is no consistent process to identify related energy and non-energy problems or to correct them.
Trade contractors who assemble and install residential equipment are often poorly trained and poorly supervised. There is a longstanding tradition in some areas of the U.

The beginning of carpet weaving remains unknown, as carpets are subject to use, deterioration, and destruction by insects and rodents. There is little archaeological evidence to support any theory about the origin of the pile-woven carpet. The earliest surviving carpet fragments are spread over a wide geographic area, and a long time span. The technique of weaving carpets further developed into a technique known as extra-weft wrapping weaving, a technique which produces soumak , and loop woven textiles.
Loop weaving is done by pulling the weft strings over a gauge rod, creating loops of thread facing the weaver. The rod is then either removed, leaving the loops closed, or the loops are cut over the protecting rod, resulting in a rug very similar to a genuine pile rug. It seems likely that knotted-pile carpets have been produced by people who were already familiar with extra-weft wrapping techniques.
